With her personal and emotional lyrics and a voice that wanders between power and vulnerability, Swedish artist Mia Karlsson’s debut as a singer-songwriter has received a warm reception from listeners all over the world
Mia is previously mostly known to a rock audience as the powerful leadsinger and guitarist Mia Coldheart of rock/metal band Crucified Barbara, that split up in 20216 due to her burnout, now back together again with a praised re-union after 10 years. Mia continues to build her new musical adventures as a solo artist and singer/songwriter under her own name.
With her solo album Coming Home (2025) and two years of intense touring in Sweden and Europe doing headline shows as well as playing support for acts like Staffan Hellstrand, Beverly Jo Scott, Tony Joe White, Wishbone Ash, The Gems, her reputation is building as a powerful performer with stripped-down, emotional and atmospheric acoustic songs, presenting her own music but also interpretations of songs from different genres.
Mia Karlsson is currently working on her 2nd studioalbum with planned release spring 2027.
